The Man Behind the Work
Kevin Brown is a faith-based author, HR professional, and founder of Genora Lee Media Group LLC. Born and raised in Louisiana, Kevin has spent over two decades navigating the tension between everyday life and radical faith — in breakrooms, parking lots, church pews, and everything in between.
Kevin received the Holy Spirit on January 5, 1997, at age twelve, at Montgomery United Pentecostal Church. That night marked the beginning of a lifelong walk with God that would shape his voice, his writing, and his calling.
As an HR specialist in the secured services sector and an independent consultant through MrHrSpeaks LLC, Kevin understands leadership, systems, and people. But his deepest work has always been personal — the kind of ministry that happens in ordinary moments, with the people God places in front of you.
He writes so that others may find God in the moments they almost overlooked.
The Name: Genora Lee
Every name has a story. This one carries two.
Gena
From Virginia Gale Brown — Kevin's mother, known to those closest to her as Gena. She passed December 19, 2023. Her final days were marked by sacred moments that continue to shape everything Kevin creates.
Ora Lee
From Ora Lee McCray-Brown — Kevin's grandmother, whom he called Granny. She introduced him to wrestling, to Saturday afternoons, and to the kind of presence that leaves a permanent mark on your soul.
Why This Company Exists
Genora Lee Media Group was founded to give voice to stories that don't always find a seat at the publishing table — stories born in the pew and the parking lot, the hospital room and the wrestling ring. Faith that is raw, real, and rooted in the Word.
This is not a corporate publishing house. It is a legacy project — built in honor of two women whose faith planted seeds that grew into a ministry, and whose names now live on every book, every episode, and every word that goes out under this banner.
